Who We Are
My name is Richard Stokes and still going strong after 35 plus years in the audio video trenches.
Over the years, I have mastered my craft by becoming a certified electrician, an electronic technician, an audio and video production engineer and an on going student of current technologies.
I moved from Ireland to Vancouver Canada in the early nineties where I specialised in audio video program production. Shortly thereafter I started working in the home theatre industry with my focus on system design and training. It was through these two disciplines that I knew my passion for recreating the artist’s intent could be realized.
Along this path, I have had the opportunity to work closely with the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) www.imagingscience.com who are inspirational leaders in the field of high quality video pictures worldwide.
I also trained at the Lucasfilm Skywalker Ranch in California to ensure I had a solid foundation in surround sound setup and calibration.
Collectively all of my educational and practical experiences in the picture and sound business have highlighted one golden rule for me.
‘If you want to recreate the artist intent from the production studio to the consumer living room then every link in the chain including the space itself, must be transparent to the source and not add or take from the message of the original content.’
This is my passion, and my value to you is to ensure that all of the elements that comprise your system will follow this golden rule.
I continue to teach industry-training seminars and through this avenue keep my own skills ‘Finely Tuned’.
